Challenge

The Wolfsen family has been farming California's fertile San Joaquin Valley since 1929. Over the course of that rich history, there has been tremendous change in agriculture, but the family-operated business has remained deeply connected to the land. Considering the opportunities and challenges facing the next generation, the time seemed ripe to establish a brand identity and presence that would communicate the richness of the company's history, their commitment to innovation, their connection to the land.

Solution

Ceive worked closely with the Wolfsen family to gain an understanding of the company's history, then built a creative strategy that included, as a centerpiece, the development of a brand identity and logo that feels fresh and current, while communicating a sense of aged wisdom, as if it had witnessed the full history of the business. This new brand strategy was extended to the company's print collateral, as well.

We also created a website to give the company a digital presence that would allow the Wolfsen story to reach a broader audience. The site communicates the respect that Wolfsen has for the land, while offering insight into their innovative approach to cultivation. A highlight of the site is an interactive timeline that tells the story of Wolfsen's history through family photographs.
